To allow the NASCAR Feature Stock Racers their full opportunity to compete for NASCAR Points (deadline is September 15th) we are not allowing Claims on the Feature Stocks for the remainder of the Season.

For those that have a 10 Lap Stock Car Test Drive or Stock Car Race School Certificate valid for 2008 please call and schedule your date as soon as possible. Right now we are totally booked for Saturdays in June. We are considering opening up some Friday Night Test Drives & Stock Car Race Schools, please call me as soon as you can if you wish to book a Friday evening.
Also, because we are so busy with our Test Drives & Race Schools a 24-hour cancellation policy is in effect. If  you do not cancel 24 hours in advance of your scheduled Test Drive or Race School your spot will be given out. Thank you!

This year at EIR when you purchase a Race Program it will include a Bingo Card and Fans can play along with the races by marking their bingo cards using the Race Cars that win the Trophy Dashes, Heat Races and Feature Races. Our EIR Announcer will call various numbers throughout the event as well! For our May 2008 Events we'll include 2 Adult Season Passes each Race Night for the Main Prize!
 

CLAIMING
TO KEEP IN LINE WITH CLAIMING WITHIN ALBERTA, WE ARE RAISING OUR CLAIMING PRICE FROM $500 TO $750 (the same Calgary's Race City). WE REALLY ENCOURAGE POTENTIAL RACERS TO BUILD THEIR OWN CARS AND WE HAVE A COUPLE FOR SALE. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE EMAIL LORETTA AT SPEEDWAY@SYBAN.NET

If you won a prize at our Powerama Booth this year please come come out to the Race Track during the Month of May 2008 to pick that up. We have a list at the Front Gate of the winners and their prizes. Admission for the day that you come will be free for you and up to 3 guests!
 

The Wetaskiwin Stock Car Club will also be selling "Gimme A Break" Pull Tickets! You will love this one, there are great prizes and cash to be won in addition to the 50/50 sales this year. Thanks to many new Volunteers signed up for this Season, we'll be keeping everyone busy and the Fans thoroughly entertained!

Note that the Spectator Gates will open as usual at 4:00 PM however we have changed the Program a little to run the Trophy Dashes at 5:30 PM and the Heat Races will begin at 6:00 PM. With the larger than usual car numbers for this Season we want to ensure that we end our Race Program around the 10 PM mark for everyone's enjoyment!

NOW is the time to get involved in racing at EIR - all you first time racers, call us for information on how to get involved in NASCAR racing at the very grass roots level! This is a reminder for the Claimer "Feature Stock" Racers to register your numbers for 2008 and invite your friends, family members to join this class for 2008! This could be your chance of a lifetime!

We invite spectators to purchase a NASCAR License. For only $90 you will receive a monthly subscription to NASCAR's SPEEDWAY Magazine, access to the NASCAR Members' Website and a neat gift package from NASCAR when you receive your license. All Spectators with a valid EIR NASCAR License and ID will receive a discount of $5.00 off their Front Gate Admission at EIR throughout the entire 2008 Race Season! NASCAR license application forms are available through EIR, just email me at speedway@syban.net and I will send you an application form.
