Everyone can do it. Over the past 5 years that Edmonton International Raceway has offered race schools we have taught every age group, 14 years to 60 years, both Ladies & Gentlemen.

Edmonton International Raceway uses a graduated method of teaching. You only go as fast as you feel comfortable. Speed only increases as you learn (speed rarely exceeds 100 kph.). The emphasis is on car control, learning the racing line and having fun!

We have a basic program but can customize it for your needs.

Your day would begin at the race track typically on a Race Day Saturday morning (although we can book other dates for larger groups). You begin by walking the track with the instructor, then we suit you up in a race suit and helmet (provided by EIR) and then you would drive in the 2-seater race car with the instructor (you driving, the instructor in the passenger seat). After that portion, you are given your own car and will then continue to turn laps on the paved oval. Expect to spend at least 4 hours at the track on this day. At the conclusion we take a photo of you in your race suit by the car in front of our NASCAR Winner's Circle sign, we get that enlarged, sent to you along with a Certificate for completing the Edmonton Int'l Raceway Stock Car Race School. Each participant receives 2 complimentary tickets to the race event that night or another night if that fits your schedule better.

The Race School is a very popular gift idea. We provide you with a really nice gift-package that you can present with information for the recipient to call and book a date that works best for them!
